Small Error Message Generator Update Incoming...
Hey, it's been 4 months since my last post, sorry about that, Geometry Dash is consuming my life.
But I'm letting you know this, I'm not dead, neither the website nor JankSite nor any of my projects... well, maybe a little bit. In case you are wondering, one of them is my most popular creation: my Error Message Generator.
Last November was the last update I made to the generator, and even then it was just the beginning of this one big update but wanted to launch a bunch of new things that were already done like the new Gallery being one of them. But for this new occasion is going to be a smaller one. Yep.
One new feature will be added to the generator for, the rest of the year probably, I hope that wouldn't be the case. Although, I'm not really underestimating this feature, in fact it was planned since the beginning and was already asked before by many people. Yep.
A custom icon feature.
First of all I have to do some new structuring in my code for this one, since we don't want any type of icons to be viewed or submitted to the site, right?
If an error message has a custom icon, it will be checked by me first before being submitted to the Gallery if the user wants to share it there, nothing is stopping for them when they're just generating errors for themselves. And not only that but also custom icons will be picked by other users as well if they are approved by me.
Just like the way the Gallery works, also for custom icons they will last for 4 weeks before being deleted from the website automatically, but here's the big difference between the two: custom icons can be postponed for deletion if they're being used regularly by many users. Not only they don't have to upload them again after being deleted and wait for it to be approved again but also as the submissions on the Gallery, custom icons can be featured and be permanent to the generator forever like the Hall of Fame, hall of fame of custom icons.
This is not just something that will revive my project, but also it was something that was already planned and be used and explored by a lot of users, more funnier error messages will appear after the fact so it does benefit everything!
Hope to get that done by next month, or maybe July, don't take my words.
